Meet Jacob Thomas

From Engineering to the Classroom I am a dynamic international mathematics teacher with a background in Aerospace Engineering. I combine the problem-solving mindset of an engineer with the empathy of a mentor to help students excel in KS3, IGCSE, A Level and IB Analysis & Approaches (AA) Maths.

My Experience

• Tier 1 International Teaching: I taught at the British International School Budapest (one of the top two international schools in Hungary), specialising in IB Analysis & Approaches (SL) and preparing students for rigorous international academic standards.

• UK Qualified Specialist: I gained my Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK and have extensive experience in schools across Hampshire, leading GCSE intervention groups and delivering high-impact academic tuition.

• Inclusive & Adaptive: I specialise in breaking down barriers to learning. From running alternative curriculum provisions to devising personalised plans for SEND and EAL students, I know how to adapt my teaching to fit the student—not the other way around.

My Philosophy I don't just want you to pass your exam; I want you to develop the curiosity and problem-solving skills that will serve you for life.
